Requirements
| version | |
|---|---|
| Node.js | 22.12 or newer |
@nestjs/common, @nestjs/core, @nestjs/microservices | 11.1+ or 12 |
inngest | 4 |
rxjs | 7.8+ |
| HTTP platform | @nestjs/platform-express or @nestjs/platform-fastify |
The package ships both CommonJS and ES modules, with type declarations for each, so it works in a
classic tsc-compiled Nest application and in an ESM one alike.
A local Inngest
Locally, Inngest is the dev server — one binary or one
container, with a UI at http://localhost:8288:
npx inngest-cli@latest dev -u http://localhost:3000/api/inngest
or, with Docker:
docker run -p 8288:8288 inngest/inngest inngest dev -u http://host.docker.internal:3000/api/inngest
-u is where your application serves its functions; the dev server registers them from there. The
Inngest client in your application must be in dev mode to talk to it — isDev: true, or
INNGEST_DEV=1 in the environment.
